Problem

Blocking our own mass adoption

The move to earn industry has clearly immense potential and space for growth, that being said the current approaches seem to be giving users a sweet taste of that potential but not the full experience to what we're sure all move to earn companies want to accomplish - which is encouraging people to build healthy habits due to it being rewarding.

We believe that currently their are 2 major problems.

Problem one?

The current main focus for most of the top move to earn companies is:

  • Financial incentive for users.

The reality is that people don't really care about earning 5 cents a day and even if you can find a way to increase that to 15 or 30 cents a day in a way that's somehow sustainable for your company or economy, people would likely still only be interested for a short period.

Problem two?

Currently the move to earn space isn't:

  • Web2 user friendly.

Walking has never and will never be exclusive to web3, yes we do open easier opportunities for this concept to be possible but excluding or not finding a way to fully include web2 users is probably the largest mistake a move to earn company can make if they want to constantly push user growth and retention. And no asking a user to buy an NFT or paying them in crypto is not Web2 user friendly.

Let's take a look at Stepn for example:

Pro's:

  • Financial incentive

  • Gamified

  • Social aspects

Con's

  • Not web2 friendly

  • All aspects are focused and directed at the financial incentives

Here we can see the results in user retention and growth.

Sweat coin is another huge pioneer in the move to earn space and the analysis wouldn't be much different.

So in conclusion:

These are the two main problems Stride intends to solve because we believe the potential in the move to earn space thereafter is unimaginable .
